Guest Speaker Germaine Adams

Germaine Adams is the Coordinator for Women’s Programs & Services for United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA). She got her first handgun for home defense in 2007, but didn’t start shooting regularly until 2012, when she got her concealed carry permit and became actively involved in women’s shooting organizations. After volunteering at Handgun Nationals in 2013, she became hooked and started shooting USPSA matches that November. Since then, she’s become deeply involved in the sport, becoming an NROI-Certified Range Officer.  In August 2014, she was appointed as USPSA’s Coordinator for Women’s Programs & Services, which includes writing articles for Front Sight magazine, taking over responsibility for Women of USPSA’s social media presence, and overhauling the Women of USPSA web site. She is an NRA-Certified Firearms Instructor and RSO, runs a locally-based women’s shooting club, and has formed a firearms training group geared specifically for women. Besides her passion for the advancement of women in the shooting sports, Germaine is an avid baker & chef and maintains a food blog. When she’s not shooting or maintaining WofUSPSA accounts, she works for a Fortune 100 transportation company and is very active in the March of Dimes.  A native of Chicago, IL, she resides in Colorado Springs, CO, with her husband and their 5-year-old son.
